Day 9 Edinburgh fringe
Doordash in Scotland is deliveroo like a kangaroo that delivers food so im waiting for deliveroo to deliver pizza with no cheese bc im vegan baby let me tell ya Scottish pizza with no cheese is much better than it sounds like its not like good good but its like good. Another Scotland thing is you cant have kids under 18 in a bar unless there is a kitchen. That is why the audience of my show today was 1 person and not 5. There was a family with 2 kids early for the magic show that really were into seeing comedy too the kids seemed cool enough like teenagers whod get it and the parents had good vibes but the law is the law and they had to go find jokes and tricks somewhere with no booze or a kitchen. Audience of 1 still counts maybe even more than if it was for a thousand ppl I gave Ethan every chance to leave and told him if he wants to bail at anytime just get up and go no prob. My trick to performing to one person is to tell them no pressure to laugh when i pause and play to the empty chairs staring into one persons eyes while performing is psychotic i know bc ive done it we had a great time or at least a good time definitely a decent time the show happened and thats whats important. Ethan is a legend and he gave me £10 i dont even ask for money at the end of the show. Also did a showcase show at the mash house Great Times hosted by 2 nyc comics
and it happens every night at 905p you should go fun show that i bombed on i mean i stand by my performance but maybe i got a little too adversarial dude i try to plow through but i feel like i can hear when the quiet is neutral or judgmental or whatever and this was some fucked up silence so i had to let them know im not the crazy one acting like these jokes are jokes ok but then i end up sounding more crazy really it was fine ive made it weird a number of times over the years this wasnt nothing but i had such a fun show with Ethan i thought i would destroy on a show with a decent crowd im always staying humble. I really do love this festival its like living in a reoccurring dream weird as fucking shit every day see ya -chri
