today is extra rambley. you can listen to the podcast here. the transcript is a little different because sometimes I say things that dont make sense so i change it here. you might think hey this dont make sense now but it was even worse before. anyway, happy to be back in the great city of los angeles reporting the truth to you the people who care about the real news. thank you for making me the most famous reporter in the world. there is no better measure of journalistic integrity than fame. see ya -chris

im back to full time. vacation is over. im in my home studio slash bed. i was in south carolina, which is not as good as california. that is my review of south carolina. if you are in south carolina and you disagree, thats great, because you’re in south carolina and im in california, so we’re both in the places we think are better. its a beautiful place to visit. lots of humidity, lots of mosquitoes, more than i get in california. so i got to experience more of that. it reminded me of growing up on the east coast with humidity and mosquitoes, and i dont miss those things, but its still a reminder. sometimes its nice to have the memories of the things that you dont miss. ive never heard that before, i just made that up. south carolina, you should visit south carolina. this ad has been paid for by the south carolina tourism council. they didnt actually pay for it, but i will bill them later and say, i did this, how about a few bucks?

i heard no mention of lindsey graham while i was there. nobody was mourning him in the streets. and im sure some people were upset where i was. he was the senator. some of those people must have voted for him, but they seemed to be getting on with their lives just fine. and everybody i met in south carolina was really chill. and charleston, south carolina, beautiful city. i had a nice family vacation. my brothers, their families, my mom, everybody in the house. it was very well air conditioned. it was a great vacation, but im happy to be back here full time now with you.

there’s been some changes. you know, there’s no episode numbers anymore. im titling the episodes, trying different things, and therell probably be different things tried again. so if something comes up and its like, oh, this is different, its because im trying something out. and jacqueline has all sorts of ideas. theres clips every day going out, like little clips of the podcast going on instagram reels and youtube shorts and tiktok. so if you do want to share this with friends and say, hey, this podcast, listen to it. i dont know who would do that. ive never suggested a podcast to a person in my life. so no pressure. but you can do that. but do follow me on whatever youre on. some people have posted new reviews on apple podcasts, which i also appreciate. no pressure there, but you can if you want. im happy if you do it. i dont like saying every episode, go rate and subscribe, even though it’s the thing you’re supposed to say. anyway, thats just to keep you updated on the business of the podcast. and yesterday, a bunch of episodes were missing from the podcast feed, and then they returned. so i dont know if you got double downloads. i apologize for that. just still trying shit out, and i appreciate all of you very much. now i’m gonna get to the news.

when i was a kid, i had a nice grandmother and, like, a not-so-nice grandmother. and then i heard this is, like, a thing later. a lot of people have this experience. so i wonder if that’s the case here, that theres a mean grandmother and, like, a nice grandmother. and if this is the nice grandmother, these kids dont have a nice grandmother left. and if this is a mean grandmother, then shes gonna be a lot meaner. and their mother just beat the shit out of her mother-in-law, so thats probably not a great home. these kids, they got a lot of problems. i say, this is why i don’t have kids, a lot of times when stories come up about things with the families and children. but it never ends. you have kids, then they have kids, and they want you to watch their kids. and i know grandparents usually want to watch their kids, but this woman didn’t, and i get that. im on the grandmother’s side here, obviously. everybodys on the grandmothers side. if youre on the mothers side who beat her up, then you are insane. youre not allowed to listen to this podcast. youre dismissed. you got to get out of here if youre on her side. i mean, nobody is, so ill say that. if i thought there was a chance somebody was on her side, id say you got to take a week off and come back. but i dont think anybody is, so i say youre banned.

this war, man. not to get political, okay. it’s not political. nothing i say is political. i did get a comment on youtube, and i dont read youtube comments barely ever, and i dont get a lot on the shorts and things like that. theres not a lot of views but somebody was like, your politics are boring. and i just wrote back, okay, because, hey, you wanted to say that, im acknowledging you said that. i didnt want to get into the truth, which is i don’t have politics. i am a neutral journalist. everything i say is 100% objective. so if i say it and it sounds political, that’s your problem. you’re wrong. you’re political. i’m neutral. i’m the voice of reason. i’m registered as an independent. check the voter rolls. i’ve never been registered to a political party. i cant be bought. but this war, very unnecessary, and everything thats happening is tragic. i saw yesterday 2 troops were killed in an attack on a base. all of this to cover the epstein files. that’s not political. that is a neutral statement. and i have to say allegedly because theres ongoing investigations by many people out there. people are saying its to cover the epstein files. i will say that that’s what people are saying. maybe ive said that too. well, i just did say it, but i was saying because other people were saying it and im reporting. that’s what people were saying, that this war is to cover up the epstein files.

dont they have interns to do all this bullshit work anyway? dont you make them write everything? so the people using ai, they can’t even ask somebody to, or the interns are using it, which, if youre an intern at the justice department right now, yeah, use ai. use it all day. and when they tell you not to use it, say, yeah, sure. no, i didnt even use it that time. all right? i just happened to cite cases that don’t exist. i did that. im as smart as chatgpt. thats the one they use. they dont use claude because chatgpt, they got a contract with the government to create the ai that will tell the drones who to kill. so i guess that’s what they use also, probably on the legal briefs. so you say, yeah, im as smart as chatgpt, i make the same mistakes. and theyre like, wow, you are pretty good, we are gonna have to promote you.

so thats a private prison company, the geo group, and they have an ice detention center that they run as a company, as a business. and this is not a political statement, but fuck everybody that works for the geo group. thats a neutral statement. all right? im beyond reproach. so one of the private guards for the private prison thats used to help hold people who are not criminals a lot of the time shot somebody who was protesting. i dont know the exact order of events that happened here. i know the person who shot the protester got arrested, so it wasnt some clear cut self defense situation. i say this all the time: its way more dangerous to be protesting right now. its very dangerous to be protesting at these ice facilities. its great that people are doing it, but be fucking careful. and look out for squirrely motherfuckers. and if it looks like shit is going down, you know, get out of there.

riding a bicycle is kind of crazy. there was a very funny comedian, kenny deforest, who was riding his bike in brooklyn, and he got hit by a car and it killed him. it was very sad. he’s a very funny dude, good dude. and i know a few other people who ended up in the hospital from riding a bike and getting hit by cars. when i was a kid riding a bike, i almost got hit by a car like 50 times a day. its crazy that they just want people on bicycles to ride in the street with the cars, but then people on bicycles go up on the sidewalk and im like, you can’t do that either. people are walking here and your weaving around. theres kind of nowhere for you to go unless theres a bike lane. and then a lot of times in the bike lane, cars go in the bike lane. and then the bike lane just disappears. it goes, oh, you can go this far, and then it ends. youre like, well, i got to go further than that. so, there should be protected bike lanes everywhere across the country. thats not gonna happen because a lot of people think that people on bicycles are annoying, so theyre not gonna want the protected bike lanes everywhere. they should have them, though. some people get worried and say, oh, they’re gonna try to take away my car if theres bike lanes, theyre gonna say you cant drive anymore. its like when they have electric cars, people are like, oh, theyre gonna take away the gas then. people are very stupid. it wouldnt cost that much to put protected bike lanes everywhere. i mean, i guess it would cost a lot of money, actually. yeah. everywhere, it would cost a ton of money, but less than some other bullshit that we do.

i saw this yesterday. they were arrested because theyre being extradited to the uk for rape and assault and some other trafficking. its not because the u.s. is trying to get them, they kind of are beloved here. i’m surprised they extradited them because there has to be a ufc event coming up where they need to go and wave and like shake hands with guy fieri and be like, hey, we’re the tate brothers. we’re, you know us for being rapists. we are very famous for that. and then what were they on, tiktok or something? i never watched like a video from these guys. and every once in a while i see a video of andrew tate and it’s never, he never sounds like i think he sounds. like, i’m like, oh, that’s his voice. that’s like a, i think you should leave, thing. like, that’s your voice? i never heard you talk. but he sounds like an idiot. i mean, i knew he’s an idiot, but i thought he must sound, like, powerful or something because he tries to look tough, and there’s people who act like he’s tough or something. but he sounds like a real dork, and he says dorky shit. whatever. they’re going to jail, hopefully, in the uk. i wonder what that jail is like there. it’s probably better than the united states, but still not great. okay, one more story and then i’m gonna go. i mean, that’s a positive story, those two getting arrested, so i should leave on that.

that is a positive story that they wont be able to bank at citizen bank. theyll bank somewhere else, but they have to go to the branch and then open up a new account, and thats a whole thing. so they are inconvenienced. but citizen bank, well, good for citizen bank. but whenever i see like a citizen bank branch, im like, thats, is that a real bank? that doesnt look, who goes there? and now geobank can’t even go there. theyre gonna have to go to ponce de leon bank. that is a bank in new york. and i always wonder whos going there. maybe its people who got kicked out of citizen bank.
